More than swapping a radio

The fitting parts are as important as the screen.

A modern head unit can add Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, cameras and much better audio adjustment. But the factory radio may also be connected to steering controls, parking sensors, an amplifier, the original camera or safety systems.

We use vehicle-specific InCarTec fascias and interfaces to create a properly integrated package—not a universal radio pushed into whatever opening is available.

The integration package

Everything around the head unit,
specified properly.

01

Vehicle-specific fascia

InCarTec fascia panels and mounting hardware are chosen for the dashboard and receiver format, giving the finished installation a clean, stable fit.

  • Single and double-DIN conversions
  • Flush-fit and floating-screen solutions
  • Colour and profile matched where available
02

Steering controls

A compatible CAN interface and brand-specific patch lead can retain volume, track and phone buttons where the vehicle and radio support them.

  • Pioneer-compatible patch leads
  • CAN ignition and illumination signals
  • Controls tested at handover
03

Factory features

We assess what the original radio currently handles and specify the adapters required to preserve important functions rather than discovering them after removal.

  • Original reversing camera retention
  • Parking information where supported
  • Factory amplifier integration
04

Aerials & connections

FM, DAB, USB, microphones and camera cabling are integrated using the correct adapters, with new components added when the factory equipment is incompatible.

  • Powered aerial adapters
  • DAB aerial solutions
  • Useful USB socket positioning

Pioneer multimedia receivers

CarPlay, Android Auto and proper audio control.

Pioneer gives us a strong range of conventional double-DIN and modular floating-screen receivers. The exact model depends on available dashboard space, the screen size you want, connection preference and the rest of the audio system.

016.8-inch wired

A straightforward route to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB and Bluetooth for vehicles with a conventional double-DIN opening.

026.8-inch wireless

Wireless and wired smartphone connectivity, capacitive touch control and useful audio adjustment in a familiar double-DIN format.

039 and 10.1-inch floating

A larger display for suitable dashboards, with a modular chassis that creates fitting options where a full-depth oversized radio would not work.

Model availability changes. We confirm the current Pioneer option and exact feature set when quoting.

VW Transporter T6 & T6.1

A modern screen without sacrificing SOS.

Transporters are particularly good candidates for a head-unit upgrade, but later vans need more than a fascia and a power lead. On compatible T6.1 MIB II/PQ vehicles, the correct InCarTec package can retain the factory e‑Call/SOS system alongside steering controls, the original reversing camera and FM/DAB aerial connections.

  • Flush-fit double-DIN or larger floating Pioneer displays
  • Steering-wheel audio and phone controls retained where supported
  • Factory camera retention on compatible vans
  • e‑Call/SOS retention for applicable T6.1 systems
  • CarPlay, Android Auto, DAB and Bluetooth
Fitment is vehicle-specific.Model years are a guide. Send the registration or VIN and a dashboard photo so we can identify the original system before quoting.

From enquiry to handover

Four stages.
No surprises.

01

Identify the factory system

We check the original radio, connectors, amplifier, steering controls, cameras and vehicle features before recommending hardware.

02

Build the integration package

The head unit is matched with the correct fascia, CAN interface, steering-control patch lead and aerial or camera adapters.

03

Install and configure

Wiring is secured and protected, microphones and USB sockets are positioned properly, and retained functions are tested.

04

Demonstrate the system

We pair your phone, configure CarPlay or Android Auto and show you the main functions before the vehicle leaves.

Common questions

Before replacing the factory radio.

01Will my steering-wheel buttons still work?+

Usually, when a compatible vehicle interface and head-unit patch lead are available. We check the exact vehicle and factory radio before confirming.

02Can you keep the original reversing camera?+

Often yes, using a camera retention interface. Some vehicles require extra conversion hardware, and image quality is limited by the original camera.

03Will a T6.1 SOS fault appear after the upgrade?+

Applicable T6.1 systems need a dedicated e‑Call/SOS retention solution. We specify this where required so the emergency-call system is not simply disconnected.

04Do I need to know which radio is fitted now?+

No. Send us the registration or VIN and a clear dashboard photograph. We will identify the likely system and ask for anything else needed to confirm compatibility.
